To help the users get the most out of the platform, the design and development teams have been keeping a strong focus on overall user experience improvements.

In addition, several known and reported bugs have also been fixed in the last weeks.

Here are the main highlights:

  1. Improvements related to the embedding feature

  2. A design update for the building blocks (Further improvements and fine-tuning should be expected in the coming weeks)

  3. Bug fixes in the content approval process


Improvements Related to the Embedding Feature

We have worked to fix some minor bugs in the process of embedding content externally by using the iframe codes. The steps to generate these iframe codes are simple and listed below:

  1. Go to the actions menu of the content and select "Share" from the drop-down.

  2. Scroll down to the last option in the list - Public Link and Embed Code, and turn it ON.

3. Copy the Iframe code that is generated and use it for embedding inside of the HTML code of the web page as needed.

We encourage facilitators to try embedding, say events externally, as per various requirement criterias and share the feedback with us.


Design Updates for the Building Blocks

We have worked to improve the overall layout and enhanced the user experience when creating content.

Following are the tools that this UX update applies to:

Quiz, Questionnaire, Form, Info Tool, Declaration Tool, Contact Tool, FAQ and Newsletter.

We will be sharing a more detailed article specific to guiding our users through working with the updated layout, but in the meantime, here is what is new:

  • While creating content using the above mentioned tools, we no longer use a separate "popup" when adding, say, a question or a block. This enables inline editing ir adding of content instead of navigating the users back and forth to overlaying pop-ups.

  • The updated design is meant to make content creation less complex, removing less important elements that do not immediately support user tasks. The additional settings and options are always available in the 3-dots menu as shown in the example below:

It is important to note that this change is only visible for content facilitators/editors.

Also, feedback from some initial internal UX testing is already being implemented. Look out for further information in our upcoming article dedicated to this improvement task.


Bug Fixes in the Content Approval Process

Regarding content approval, we worked to fix reported bug concerning:

  • Filtering options not behaving correctly for the people page of any given content.

  • The values in the "Start Date" / "Last Visited" columns might be appearing incorrect for some users, this has been fixed as well.
