Building block with multiple columns

Aiming to provide more options for content layout and content structure, we have multiple column buildingblock. This buildingblock also exists in several other tools such as articles and quizzes. It is extremely flexible and perhaps the most important building block we have.

This is how you do it!

1. Open existing content or create a new
Press Create -> Content -> Article

2.  Once inside the article you will now be able to see the following options after pressing add new block

3. Column alignment

At the top, you can adjust columns as needed. If you want a text to go over several columns, you can press the corresponding arrows to merge them, or separate them. Above you have a small dropdown where you can decide whether you want odd or even numbers. If you press column 1, you edit the contents of that column. Below you see examples of many different ways to adjust the content.

4. add media

Note that you can click "add media" to upload an image to the relevant column. It is also possible to link the image to another content on the platform using the "Add URL" option. This will give you the ability to navigate to other parts of the course via this article.

You can also add an embedded link or link to other URLs outside the academy.

5. Styling

Another feature that is useful is styling. Styling can be found by clicking on the palette in the bottom right corner. Styling applies to the entire section and all columns. Here you can enter your own background color, background image, adjust the width of the content or set a transparent background. Below you see an example of how it can end up looking when you use several columns in a creative way

6. Adjust existing blocks

On the left side you can adjust the height of the section. This is useful when you want to give some content more attention, or just feel that content needs more air. On the right-hand side, you have the option to change the order or edit.

7. Structure After pressing

the pen, you have the same editing structure as in other tools. This is a total overview of the functionality and how it is connected.
